Our Iceland Adventure: Overview

Man, oh man! We just got back from Iceland and I am in love!  With mountains, waterfalls, horses, icebergs, amazing food and sooo much more, Iceland was the perfect way to “get away from it all” and “recharge the batteries.”

Similar to New Zealand, Iceland offers a variety of unique landscapes and activities in a relatively small amount of space. To make the most of our week, we rented a car and drove around the Ring Road – the highway that circles the entire island – with several short side trips along the way.

Like I did for our New Zealand adventure, I’ll be sharing a little bit about what we did each day in the coming weeks. But for now, here is a brief outline of our adventures with a few of my favorite pictures.

Day 1: Keflavík to Vík

Day one of our Ring Road in a Week adventure consisted of swimming in a hot river, hiking to the “most beautiful place in Iceland” and standing beneath (and behind) some pretty impressive waterfalls. Click here to read more about Day 1.

  1. Hi Emily! I just stumbled across your blog while looking for bullet journal ideas on Pinterest. I love the clean look of your spreads. I’ve tried bullet journaling in the past but didn’t stick with it. I’d like to give it another go. Anyway- now I’m looking at your pics of Iceland because I’ve always wanted to go. So gorgeous! Anyway- lovely blog. 🙂 I co-write a book blog right now. Both of us are bullet journal newbies but plan to share more about that once we get our feet wet. For now- it’s mostly books and organization. And since it’s October you’ll mostly just see our recommendations for Halloweenish books. 🙂 Have a fab day.

    1. Hi Kim! Thank you so much for stopping by! And, for leaving such a wonderful comment! 🙂 One of the beautiful things about the bullet journal is that it is ever-evolving. So, I say try a bunch of different layouts, evaluate and keep evolving to find out what works best for you! Also, if you get a chance to go … Iceland is pretty amazing! 🙂 And, thanks for sharing your blog – I love books!
